What we collect

When you use Ask NPG we collect your name, email, phone number, and whether you have opted in to text messages. We also store your questions and the answers you receive, your My Nonprofit profile, the documents you create, your tool results, and basic usage data such as when you were last active.

How we use it

We use your information to run your account and save your chat history so you can pick up where you left off.

We send your contact info and your plan (Free or Premium) to our customer system so we can email you, and text you only if you opted in.

We create anonymous reports about the most common questions so we can improve Ask NPG and our classes. These reports never include your name.

Team access

Members of The Nonprofit Guy team may view conversations when you ask for support, or when you have opted in to "Help improve Ask NPG". Every support view is logged with a reason.

Our AI provider

Ask NPG is powered by Anthropic's Claude. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, Anthropic does not train its models on your conversations. We do not train any AI model on your conversations either.

Your choices

You can download your data, delete your chats, or delete your account anytime from My account. You can turn "Help improve Ask NPG" on or off anytime. You can reply STOP to any text to opt out of messages.

Data retention

Your chats are kept until you delete them or delete your account. When an account is deleted, we keep only the minimal purchase records needed for accounting, with personal details removed.
